Svetlana (Lana) Kouzko

Lana Kouzko is a Licensed Acupuncturist by the California and National Boards of Acupuncture.

Originally from Siberia, Lana graduated from Amur State University of Humanities, Russian Federation with Bachelor of Natural Science/Biology and started her career as a Biologist. After realizing her true passion lies in helping people feel better using natural modalities, Lana decided to become a student of Oriental medicine which led her to study acupuncture & Chinese medicine. Now she holds a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) and a Doctor degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM).She obtained herdegrees from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego.

Lana has over 12 years of medical experience. She worked at the Children’s Clinical Hospital and Amur Regional Clinical Hospital in Russian Federation, as well as at UCSD RIMAC Clinic (San Diego), Veteran’s Clinic (San Diego). Lana completed her Internship at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine Clinic in San Diego, CA. She is also seeing patients at a Sorrento Valley location.

Merging the best of Eastern and Western approaches together for her patients, Lana offers a blend of integrative medicine that consists of the holistic modalities offered by traditional Chinese medicine combined with modern Western alternative medical practices. She uses auricular acupuncture, cupping/cupping massage, electric stimulation, heating therapy, herbs and IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization).
