Marie Barranco

As a San Diego native, Marie’s love for sunshine and an active lifestyle developed at an early age. She grew up playing soccer and dancing, and while attending UC Santa Barbara for her undergraduate degree, she cultivated a deep passion for being outdoors. In addition to hiking in the mountains and running along the coast, she began practicing yoga as a means of managing the stress of being a full time student and employee. Since college, she has continued to explore holistic approaches to maintaining her physical and mental health through nutrition, yoga, and mindfulness.

Marie recently completed her 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and is excited to incorporate yoga into patients’ movement exercise plans as SFC’s new Chiropractic Assistant. She firmly believes in the mind-body connection and is excited to help bridge the connection between yoga and chiropractic care, as the two go hand in hand. She is honored to join the SFC team and work alongside an amazing community of patients dedicated to lifetime wellness.

Marie is an avid traveler and backpacker, having lived abroad in both Central and South America. When not at work, you can find her experimenting with photography, walking her dog through new parts of the city, watching live music, and eating all of the free samples at the farmers market.
