App I am using: Blinkist
I often hear from many of you that you wish you had more time to read.  If this sounds like you, then there is good news!  This weekend on the drive up to Los Angeles for my son’s volleyball tournament my wife introduced me to a new app called Blinkist.  The app allows you to select a book title and then, within 15 minutes, get a summary of all of the main concepts. This platform uses the old Cliff Notes concept but in either a readable or audio version.  This is a fantastic resource if you are pressed for time and don’t have the opportunity to go deep on a topic.  The app costs $8.34 per month and includes thousands of book titles.  Enjoy!

Exercise progression I am using: 30 seconds of walking followed by 30 seconds of running
In an effort to get back into running following a knee injury, I have been using the above cadence.  I believe this may be helpful for many of you as I often hear that getting back into running is a goal.  The idea is to focus specifically on your running form for 30 seconds at whatever pace you desire and then use the next 30 seconds for active recovery.  If you are coming off of a time period in which you have not exercised and are looking to progress into more activity without the risk of injury, this may be a great option.

Quote I am loving: “Every decision to use a portion of time on anything represents the sacrifice of all the other ways in which you could have spent that time, but didn’t.  To willingly make that sacrifice is to take a stand, without reservation, on what matters most to you.” ~ Oliver Burkeman in 4000 Weeks Time Management For Mortals
Each week I am deeply honored to spend time with you, either virtually through this blog post, digitally through a video, or in person in the clinic.  I have long recognized that how a person spends their time is the ultimate test of what a person believes.  Your effort to improve yourself through reading, viewing, listening, or showing up to Aligned Life should be a fantastic reminder of your self-worth.  I could not be more proud of you and of who you are becoming.  You are on the path to greatness!

Have a healthy week everyone!
