Spot I am visiting: Torrey Pines Gliderport in La Jolla, CA
On Sunday, my wife and I took our oldest son to this little known spot in San Diego called the Torrey Pines Gliderport.  This location is on the west side of the UCSD campus.  On the cliffs high above Blacks Beach (a nude beach…), sits a grassy hill with a small building on it.  There you will find a group of people that are setting up and launching their paragliders.  You can also find the Cliffhanger Cafe which is a small deli that serves sandwiches, salads and coffee.  The vibe is very relaxing and it is thrilling to watch people literally run off the cliff and take off upward into the sky.  Check this spot out if you are looking for a unique place to hike or grab lunch!

Quote I am loving: “Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”  ~ Douglas Adams
Sometimes the best things we can ever do, is to try, fail and realize that your failure may have been better than your original goal.  This happens so often when you decide to put yourself out there and take a chance.  Only by asserting yourself and taking a risk do you have the opportunity for your failures to turn into smashing successes!

What My 12-Year-Old Taught Me About Health One of my favorite parts of being a parent is watching my boys discover they’re capable of doing things they never imagined. Track What Matters. Decide With Clarity. Get to Work. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about intentionality. This week, I’m experimenting […]
