Experience I am recommending: Tuna Harbor Dockside Market
Using the recommendation from an Aligned Lif’er (Thanks Mike P.) we checked out this incredible event this weekend.  If you are local to the San Diego area and available on a Saturday morning I strongly suggest checking out this once a week seafood farmers market.  Near the embarcadero and Seaport Village you will get an up close and personal look at the freshest fish, shrimp and crab you can find at a great price.  You can also learn recipes and cooking suggestions from the local fisherman at their booths.  You can also try out a fish taco, salad or sandwich while you walk around.  As you might imagine, this event smells a little “fishy” but it is definitely worth the experience!

Book I am re-reading: Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey
Every year I skim back through this book to ensure that my financial priorities are aligned with my long term vision.  Concepts such as the “debt snowball” and the idea that my “income is my most powerful wealth creator” (therefore do not waste it by having to put all of your income towards debt) have revolutionized my financial spending habits.  If you are in need of some financial grounding and a rock solid plan, give this one a read!

Quote I am loving: “It is not the direction of the wind, but the set of the sails that determines where you will go.” ~ Jim Rohn
We are all experiencing the same external environment, and yet some people thrive while others suffer.  The reason for this drastic difference in outcome is the driving philosophy of each individual.  Another way of saying this is, what are the beliefs of the person going through the external environment.  Those beliefs determine the level of responsibility the person takes and the volume of their actions towards bettering their situation. This week, be the person who takes full responsibility for your health by committing to daily practices for your physical body and your spiritual life!

Have a kick ass week everyone!

Dr. Devin Shea, DC

This week, I pulled my old, rusty mountain bike out of retirement. The first stop wasn’t the trail—it was the bike shop! I had a new chain installed and asked them to make sure everything was safe before I attempted to ride it again. My motivation for getting back into mountain biking is actually pretty […]

App I am using: Blinkist I often hear from many of you that you wish you had more time to read.  If this sounds like you, then there is good news!  This weekend on the drive up to Los Angeles for my son’s volleyball tournament my wife introduced me to a new app called Blinkist.  The app allows […]
