Both Rachel and Dr. Shea share their personal stories about they got into the health and wellness field. Rachel shares her story about how she overcame a false health diagnosis of PCOS by asking why and challenging her healthcare provider. They both discuss how knowledge is power and that it is OK to ask your medical care team “why” questions and advocate for your own health. Being vulnerable, gathering information, looking for blind spots, and empowering yourself to take action will allow you to take the driver seat in your own life.
