Birthday gift I am requesting: 5-Star Reviews on Google or Yelp
Tomorrow (March 10th) I am turning 41 years old! I am really excited to spend the day with each of you in the office celebrating. What better way to ring in a new year of life than to spend it with your friends and colleagues. That being said, I have a favor to ask. Never before has the power of social proof become so important to the success or failure of small businesses. This year for my 41st birthday I would greatly appreciate you going to the following links and writing a quick 5-Star review for Aligned Life Wellness! Your reviews greatly help to reach people that we normally do not have the opportunity to touch. Thanks for your time and effort in getting the word out about Aligned Life Chiropractic and Wellness!
Book I am hearing: The War of Art by Steven Pressfield
Do you ever find yourself needing to be creative in order to complete a project or develop a new strategy? Do you ever feel your mind and body resist every attempt you have to start and follow through with that creative endeavor? Then you have experienced what Pressfield calls, “Resistance”. Resistance is your mind/ego’s way of coming up with any excuse possible for you to step into your true potential. For strategies and systems that help to work around the “Resistance” check out this amazing book. If this sounds appealing, but you want more info before buying a copy, check out Pressfield’s interview of the Rich Roll podcast here!
Quote I am loving: “Fear doesn’t go away. The warrior and the artist live by the same code of necessity, which dictates that the battle must be fought anew each day.” ~ Steven Pressfield in The War of Art
To deliver creative work to the world regularly is such a difficult endeavor. This is why the majority of people do not write, publish, video, record, speak, paint, draw or become an entrepreneur. All of these avenues of self expression require courage and an endless supply of perseverance. To be a creative is to step into the ring with an endless opponent. If you desire to find your authentic self, this daily struggle to drill down on what makes you unique is required. It will not be the easy path but it may allow you to find deep satisfaction and fulfillment. I believe that we all have been given a gift. It is our responsibility to find out what that is and then give it to the world!
