Book I am listening to:  Lead…For God’s Sake by Todd Gongwer
I am constantly fascinated with the topic of leadership and how to become a better leader.  This story of a janitor, a CEO and a basketball coach is a fun and inspirational tale that has many parallels to my own life.  If you enjoy listening to a story that has a deeper meaning attached, then this book is a great way to learn effortlessly.

Birthday I am celebrating:  My Wife’s 40th!!!
I met my wife at UC Irvine when I was 19 years old.  We met on the dance floor.  We did not say a word to each other, but then began dancing together.  We haven’t stopped since.  She has been my biggest teacher, my best friend and my most consistent support.  She is beautiful, brilliant, caring and passionate about her family and health.  I am so lucky to be able to do this life with her and want to celebrate her today on her milestone birthday. Thank you for allowing me to honor her on this platform!

Quote I am pondering: “Will I lead for my reasons or for the benefit of others?”  ~ Todd Gongwer in Lead…For God’s Sake
In my mind, this is the key question that separates average leaders from extraordinary ones. As soon as the focus shifts from self to others, you become an authentic leader that people want to follow.  Where in your life can you change your focus to someone else?  At home, at the office, in your relationships, or to a stranger?  Ask this question repeatedly for maximum results!
